We’ve faced mental health struggles and been surrounded by negativity, yet we found solace in the power of acceptance, optimism, and the kindness of others. It made us wonder, "Could we share this feeling, amplify it, and help others experience it alongside us?"

And so, Simply Pastels was born—a vibrant movement fuelled by creativity, optimism, and the belief that we can transform lives for the better.

As part of our commitment to transparency, we believe in giving credit where it’s due. Our designs incorporate graphic elements from a variety of talented artists around the world.

Each design undergoes careful and time-intensive curation, where elements are thoughtfully chosen, blended, and colour-matched by our team to create cohesive and distinctive pieces that reflect our brand's essence.

For example, the Amorelle design began with a simple heart graphic ♡. We transformed it into a floral-like pattern through a multi-layered approach, enhancing its appeal with a selection of handpicked pastel colours. Each heart on the back and label was individually placed to create a unified design.

We deeply respect the originality of the contributing artists while ensuring our collections meet our standards of quality and style. We are grateful to all the artists whose work has been instrumental in curating these designs.

We utilise Print on Demand (POD) as our order fulfilment method because it's practical and cost-effective.

POD allows us to avoid the upfront costs and risks associated with traditional inventory management. By producing items only when they're ordered, we minimise waste and keep our environmental footprint low.

This method also gives us the flexibility to experiment with a variety of designs and products without the fear of being stuck with unsold inventory helping us keep simply pastels afloat until season 1 sells out.

The primary trade-off is the extended printing time before delivery, which we find outweighed by the enhanced quality control for each shirt print. Our commitment remains to fulfill all orders within 5 days, excluding shipping time.

Ultimately, POD enables us to focus on delivering quality apparel to our customers while operating in a way that's both financially responsible and environmentally sustainable.

We source from brands like Stanley/Stella because they share our values of fair labor practices, environmental responsibility, and high-quality craftsmanship.

By prioritising ethical sourcing, we ensure that every garment we print on reflects our dedication to supporting workers' rights and minimising our ecological footprint.
